I might need a fuel pump. Which to get?

Hey RemoveBeforeFlight, I hung around when they were doing the heat testing. Toward the end of the 90 minutes, the fuel in the 1-gal bucket was around 160-165°F. I think the fluid was around 85-90°F when they started.

I might need a fuel pump. Which to get?

I'm a little late to the party on this response, but I felt it warranted a response. We performed our own in-house testing regarding the DW300 and heat build up. We tested multiple samples of both the Walbro 255HP and the DW300 at high ambient temperatures (>90°F, have you seen how hot it's...

    DW Fuel Pump part #

Hey John, I posted some pictures and a video in your DW300 installed thread. Hopefully that will help others in the future!

Here is what a DW301 looks like installed

Frustration with the sock retainer clip is definitely something I've come across... I snapped a couple of pics to illustrate how I do it in-house. If you have to remove the sock, take care when loosening the sock not to rotate it too much as the plastic stud can break...

    DW Fuel Pump part #

I would like to clear this up. The DW200 and DW300 pumps are not copies or knockoffs of the Walbro, the two employ different methods of moving fuel; Walbro using a gerotor design vs. the DW using a turbine-impeller design. As Nick stated, our pumps were designed in-house and a manufacturer of...

    Interesting start to the day...

So, I'm getting ready for work this morning and I notice an update by Mike Deatsch on facebook with some pictures. A power line that runs immediately south of the DeatschWerks building fell. Don't know how, just know that it did. When it fell, it came in contact with the cast iron...

New Drop In E85 Compatible Fuel Pump, DW300, January 2011

Hey Big, As far as the pump is concerned... 500whp on E85 and boost in 15-17psi range on a 43.5psi base pressure should be do-able with our DW301 and a pump hardwire @13.5v. 550whp in the same scenario would be stretching the limits of the pump at that voltage, however @16v should have you...
