I'm not on the list but plan to be there unless my motor takes a turn for the worse. Feel free to add: JARED PARKER from KS. I know a few people in the Wichita area, I'll see if any are willing to make the drive.

Alright...count me in this year! I've got time to stock up on some c16 and do some tuning. Bringing another hot air car from KS!

    max psi with stock turbo

I "accidentally" made it to 26 psi with the stock turbo and alky once, but I can't recommend it...it seems that anything past 20 psi or so doesn't result in an increase in power output, it only makes the "knock gods" unhappy. :frown:

84 highly modified, stalls, low boost

Okay, first check the TPS, make sure it is .42 or so at idle and 4.2-4.6 at WOT, and that it increases slowly as the throttle opens...I had a bad TPS on my car and it ran at 2000 rpm at idle, replacing the TPS dropped the idle to 1000-1100 (picked mine up from Poston's for a lot cheaper than...

    Looking for Deltagate advice

Okay...the inlet on this W/G is about 32mm, and the outlet is 35mm. Looks like it will be marginal at best.

    Looking for Deltagate advice

The turbo I have is very similar to this one http://gnttype.org/techarea/pictureguides/turboguide/TA33.html, but with a larger exhaust housing (Precision 0.63): http://gnttype.org/techarea/pictureguides/turboguide/exhuasthousings.html

    Looking for Deltagate advice

The Deltagate is one I picked up off Ebay a few years ago...don't know much about it...it is a Deltagate Mark II, p/n 10101...has a small sticker on top that says 7...guessing it has a 7-lb spring in it? The turbo I'm running was built by John Craig at Limit Engineering back in about '01...at...

    Looking for Deltagate advice

Thanks for the advice, that helps with one of my concerns. I have tried bleed valves in the past with the stock w/g setup, but had problems with boost creep, but a good quality "controller" (valve) would probably make that much better. I'm still a little worried that this turbo is going to...

    Looking for Deltagate advice

Anyone have any experience with Deltagates on our cars? I have one sitting around, and I can't run the stock W/G with the LT downpipe...so I'm looking for any information/experience you guys might have with these things. Two things are bothering me...1st, is the Deltagate going to flow...

    vin numbers for 84 TR's..

I don't know my build date, due to the driver's door being replaced at some point, but my VIN reads: 539403, and I know it's a GN due to the trunk lid codes and the Lear Siegler interior...hope this helps ;)

    Max hot air boost?

I hit 26 psi once with 93 octane and alcohol injection with the stock turbo, but honestly didn't feel any different than 18-20 psi. The alky suppressed the KR nicely, but the others are right about the performance above about 20 psi (not worth it to try with the stock turbo)...however, an...

    ignition problem...?

I haven't changed the O2 in awhile, just kinda going on the assumption that it is okay, since my car usually sets a code when it goes bad (I know, I know...probably should change that $20 part). I thought about the cam sensor, so I went checking on gnttype, but from the way it is described...
