Will you be putting a roll bar in it as well? Those are some beautiful welds!

You can quit your day job
Ha! I think the car business is tough. I know a few people that build cars for a living and they seem to get burned out with it. I wouldn't want to ruin it for me as a hobby. For me, this is my car so its a labor of love. Thanks for the compliment tho!

I haven't made my mind up on that yet. I would like to tie things together and add the rigidity of maybe a six point bar, but I just finished the floor pan on the body and it would kind of suck to cut on it again to run the bars through. I actually started another thread on here asking for rollcage pics to get ideas but it didnt really get much in responses.

I've seen a few nicely done roll bars. Brian Cotton has done some really nice ones. If you check Cotton's website in the forum there are some pics of some he has done. Another one that I was impressed with was Jimmy Morrison from CT. Here's pics of his.http://www.jwracing-fab.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=290 You could just skip the halo and front down tubes. I think swing outs were added if I remember correctly.

Well, I changed my mind about 10 times on which rear axle to go with but I finally decided on a Moser 12-bolt with 33 spline axles, Detroit Trutrac, and 3.42 gear. I almost bought a Currie 9" but I wasnt impressed with their sales/tech people when I called them. Currie acted like I was bugging them when I called with a few questions. Moser on the other hand, was very helpful and seemed to know exactly what I was asking for in every way. Plus the 12 bolt just looks right in a GN.

I did some very basic mock-up with some of the new rear suspension. Upper control arms bolt rite in like factory but nothing is there for the lower arms yet. I will need to build the lower control arms and frame mounts. Also my new DSE sway bar is hitting the new frame rails so I need to do some brain storming there.
