Well here go's nothing, half our cars have chrome trim and half have Blackout trim Chrome you can polish the heck out of it and then wax it! or replace it do to stripping off ! Chrome is a chemical process blackout is a surface treatment.
But if you have blackout trim then the sun and weather really works on it So over the years I heard several ways to refurbish blackout trim.
So a few question if you please, then maybe a few answers or ideals
1 Does anyone know the process that GM use to create the b/o trim
2 What paint if any does GM use
3 What method and or product has everyone used on their projects and how did it turn out and how did it hold up?
Very seldom does a product over the counter AZ, O'rilleys, Carquest, hold up or look original, tell me I'am wrong and show us the picture from 2ft away not 10ft if you know what I mean need the help getting ready to start refurbing my trim.
$5000 dollar paint job $2.00 dollar trim paint job really hurt the whole purpose just saying
Everybody has done something lets hear it good bad or indifferent need both sides lend a little help. " help a geek with skills out"
