What do you need to run e85

Aren't the turbo-tweak parts tax deductible as part of a bio-fuel conversion????;)

Bob-O look into that would ya??;)

Hmmmm... where's the FLEXFUEL label gonna fit on that back bumper??

Great looking car! I was running 22 psi and 25-56 degs timing on my White Stocker, you'll love the e-85.

I did however find out on my case that the car liked the warmer themostat ( 190 ), especially in the winter.

Dont forget to look into the IL E85 fuel tax rebate- from what I understand you can keep your receipts and send them into Springfield for your rebate. I have never heard anyone say that it can only be for a factory FFV.

This just keeps sounding better and better. I'm almost ready to order the injectors and chip. Probably next week:D.

I like E85, the detonation resistance is really nice.

Cold starts and warm up are not as smooth as gas, but not too bad.

I wonder if a hotter plug might help some, the thermostat is a decent idea also.

thanks! here's a couple more pics...
The color is what got me interested in the car. It was kinda rough when I got it almost 10 yrs ago, I might not have bought the car if it weren't for the light blue.

Sweet!

this is really looking better and better!

The IL E85 fuel rebate is around $340 if you drive less than 17,500 miles in a year. Safe bet. It seems you have to just show that 100% of the fuel was purchased and used in the vehicle.

It does not look like we could qualify for the conversion rebate though.

I've seen this car in person...It's one of my favorites!! Got several pics from the Byron Meet last year...

We called the state of Illinois 3 years ago when Austin and I did the swaps to E85, our cars did not qualify for the rebate back then.

Does IL have two separate programs- or are you saying that you are not eligible for the fuel rebate unless you have a factory FFV?

If so- bummer. It not only cleans up the exhaust but creates jobs in your state too.

Bob

I use the E3 Diamond fire plugs, they made a difference in both my E-85 and pump gas cars.
