That sucks Ronnie. I hope FAST's tech line can figure it out for you. You could always get rid of that junk and put a DFI in it:biggrin: :p :biggrin:

I've seen Cal help out many racers even though he didn't sell them any parts..

On the other hand, there were a group of racers that paid for his time and presence at Norwalk that weekend. I personally saw him working on at minimum 8 cars at a time being pulled in all directions.

You should have given me a call I would have tried to help.

Cal told us 3 years ago at BG that he would not help us with an issue with our xfi because we never purchased it from him. No big deal just like everything else we figured it out.
Tim bought the dizzy setup from him hoping to get help with the setup, I called him before pinks to phase the rotor he got another call and said just run it like that you will be fine.
I am the one who has to fix anything that tears up and Tim has to pay for it. I don't like it will be all right, I like perfect. We get to pinks and have to run the 2 main passes with the sevice engine light on with a cam sync
fault code.
Not ever running a dizzy before how do I know if we are hurting the motor?
I know you would help me Jason, you have a few times over the years and I would like to thank you for that.
It just seems like Cal wants to jump on the band wagon if you are doing good and I guess we aren't.:D Cal I see you left a message on my phone it's not working right now or I just don't want to talk to ya.:eek:
 
Without a cam sync, you just won't have individual cylinder control.

Not just taking up for Cal but this is kinda tough... You buy one part from a guy and expect 24hr 7 day a week service?

Wasn't he in Norwalk helping with all the other race teams at that race? One man can not be strecthed but so far... You said he did call back and you missed the call right?

Ronnie, don't take this personal but IMO this is tough to throw a man under the bus for this...

We spent about 1300 dollars it wasn't just one part, with the promise of help at BG. Cal never helped in anyway. I work at a speed shop that I could have got the parts cheaper with the same tech support.
It has been since thursday since Cal has contacted us, he Knows we are having trouble. The two step didn't work and we don't know how to phase the rotor.
He did call friday night and I called right back with no answer. Shane no offense but you were not the one that was sitting in the staging lanes with a chance to win 20,000 plus in cash and prizes and a check engine light on.
Everybody but Cal is talking for him, we know what happened it was not right on his part. If you really want to know the whole story call me and I will fill you in from the beginning. 765-541-0404 I am not trying to be an azz Shane but it didn't happen to you so you don't know how we feel.

You show up to an event unprepard and get this pissed because you cant get a hold of him. If this was as big a deal to you as you are making this into then pay the man to be there. (lack of planning on your part does not necessitate an emergency on his part). By not talking to him now how is this going to get resolved.


P.S OH i think Cal got plenty of press from this weekend :eek:

If I knew how to work the stuff I bought from Cal I would have been prepared. Maybe he should have spent sometime at Bg showing us what he needed to and we would have been prepared.
I don't have to talk to him now I have had people call that are more than willing to help for free.
