XFI Voltage

Gave hot wiring a shot

Now the connector in cavity "F" of the computer side of terminal C437 triggers a relay. The power to the relay is supplied direct from the battery, that now directly feeds the connector pulled from cavity F that supplies power to the computer and CCCC module. Between the flash upgrade that got the XFI reading in in the mid 13s and this hot wire the XFI read 14.7 volts. This is the same as read by a digital volt meter at the alternator when I first started it up this evening.

I also replaced the 8 gage wire from the alternator to the battery with a 6 gage wire with heavier connectors at each end. This reduced the 2 tenths voltage loss between the alternator terminal and the battery.

Thanks Cal, Surej, John and others for encouraging me to get this corrected. Now with a solid foundation the fine tuning should of the VE map should go smoother.
