Car seems to be living a tough life. I Googled the VIN and found where it went through a salvage auction four years ago looking like a crunched GN: http://www.autobidmaster.com/carfin...64730/COPART_1987_BUICK_REGAL_NY_NEWBURGH_NY/

THE VIN SHOULD TELL US ??

Maybe someone bought it and did nothing with it or it just got lost at the auction place.
I would buy it if I was looking for another one depending what it was going for.

The damage is crazy similar. Is it confirmed the same VIN? You think someone converted a wrecked car into a wrecked GNX clone????

The guys on the Facebook page from tb.com are going at it lol, apparently the drier is the same so something is fishy

On the auction, people may just be assuming its a GNX and paying out the ass for a clone and not know better, I know copart allows you to bid online.

Even the dent right behind the rear tire looks exactly the same just worse now, the rear bumper is bent the same at the bottom, just looks like someone straightened it and replaced the filler then got munched again.

Weird.

How can you tell it's not the same car? The first pictures (when it looked like a GN) are from 4 years ago. The second set are from the current auction. A lot can happen in 4 years.

Is 17,200 kinda high for people to be bidding on a car that is not a real gnx and wrecked? I mean, it even has a salvage title...
