*****I saw Air Supply and REO Speedwagon in Mexico some time back. Due to the exchange rate I'm not sure if the tickets cost me $20 each or $2000 each but the concert was good! I guess everyone has to make a living! It was a really small venue with almost all US people listening. Those band guys looked like old men singing about teen love and not being able to fight these feelings anymore, etc... The groupies were white haired grandmas !!!! Several were sporting short stem rose tattoos on their boobs that somehow became long stem roses over the years... Guess gravity is still a thing!!!

That reminds me of the old 85yo lady that was tired of life and asked her doctor exactly where her heart was so she could go home and end it all. He told her its right under your left breast. I learned long ago not to see my favorites from yesteryear. Most sound a lot better on the old records than they do live now. My son wanted to take me to a Gordon Lightfoot concert last spring. I told him that I would rather listen to my "Gords Gold" cd. Something about an 85 year old guy ....... I can't imagine him sounding like he did 40 years ago.
Some of them sound just like they did back in the day but lots have had age creep up on them. Jay Black, Jay and the Americans, still sounded good considering his health issues. BJ Thomas still sounds the same along with Lobo, Bobby Rydell and America.

Just saw Peter Frampton on Monday at Mohegan Casino. Puts on a great show. On his farewell tour because of a muscle disease and wants to hang it up with live performing while still on top of his game. Doesn't have much hair left but still can play. Most of the audience were dinosaurs like myself.

I saw Los Lobos and The Mavericks the day after Fourth of July at Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino in Maricopa, AZ. Sat 2nd row center.
Both bands rocked although Los Lobos didn't play enough off of their first two albums.
$220 per seat was pretty steep but I justified it with the 75 mile trip out into the middle of nowhere to get to the venue....
