When i bought my GN it came equipped with an SMC alky kit installed, Need to know the easiest way to test my pump.

If it's installed, haw someone push the test button while Cars running and look at the gauge that should be next to the pump under the hood, and see how much psi it's putting out

Ally pump

It's installed, I'll have some body push the button, and the gauge should move? Ok. Lemme check after work and I'll post later today. Thanx

Is it possible to adjust the pump to a high/er psi to make sure the pump is working?

Post back if you have the SMC kit that has the pump inside either the round or rectangular bottle. If it's that type, I can dig up some old info from Steve at SMC about minimum pump PSI values.

I don't think so if it's the in tank pump. Pumps get weak over years and lose some of their max ability to pump as they did when new especially the in tank pumps. Below a certain level is asking for trouble and things can be boom if one gets greedy with the boost. External pump adjustibility, possibly?

I emailed you a pic of the bottle.

Thanx for all your help. Greatly appreciated.

The pumps inside a rectangular bottle.
I'll include a pic.

No need to post a pic as I know which you have now. As Onalky87 mentioned, if your kit has a pressure gauge by the bottle, have a friend verify the number it climbs to when you press prime on the controller with car running. I'll look for the archived email info from Steve when I had the same problem as to minimum value you want to see from the pump PSI.

Once i check the psi from your info and if my pump turns out to be bad, is it possible to buy a replacment?

Sent you an email too with the installation kit instuctions for your kit. Check those connections. Steve said 70 PSI minimum need from pump PSI.

I had a newer style progressive and Steve said new pumps would do 90-100psi. Mine did 75psi so I'm getting rid of it

The pic he emailed me offsite looks like a non-progressive older rectangular bottle in-tnak SMC kit. I think the pump values were much lower for those vs the progressive ones.
