What type of gasket for rear end

I changed the fluid like 5 years ago and used a paper gasket however I don't think it ever sealed well. Minimal seeping at the bottom I can see but doesn't drip. So try paper again or form a gasket?

My transmission guy didn't use a gasket on my car when he rebuilt the rear end, said he doesn't believe in them....just rtv.
No leaks!

I just use RTV

I have always used one of these gaskets with a thin layer of Permatex #2 form a gasket sealant (non-hardening).

RTV gasket stuff here..no issues for a year or so.
