What is this mystery part?

This part was bolted onto the passenger side valve cover, towards the fender, on the forward stud. It doesn't look like it does much, expect maybe spread pressure onto the valve cover lip, maybe?

Something must've disappeared from it over the years...the driver's side still has a plastic clip-on piece that I'm still using, but not the passenger side...well, I'll remove it and toss it in my box of no-longer-needed GN parts. (I save everything, hehe!)

Mine is the same way.

Figure the passenger side is hotter & the plastic becomes more brittle. Probably broke during a plug wire change.

Yes, that looks like it makes sense now. Too bad I'm missing the loom part. Oh well, my wires seem to be routing well enough without it.
