Well last weekend i got started on some things that have bugged me for the past 2 years.

GN runs great but the rear main oil seal leaks and that the GN is running better the leak has gotten worse. The first head bolt on the passenger side has always been wet, never oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil., hell have never had to add coolant to it. The engine i had gotten all detailed except the firewall and the cross member.

I am pulling the engine. She only has 80,600 miles so i am not doing anything to the rotating assembly but am going to pop the heads, replace the head gaskets, use head studs, do a dbl timing chain, neoprene rear seal, new valve springs, am leaving the original cam(leaving this motor pretty original, it is #'s matching and i have my sights on a stroked and full roller 3.8), detailing engine, painting the firewall and cross member.

Today I repaired the underhood light by replacing the broken wires and resoldering the terminals. Installed the HD rocker shafts and braces, reinstalled the wiring for the factory MAF sensor, tapped out the Wideband sensor bung, installed the heater hoses and a bunch of vacuum lines. Getting the car ready to sell by putting it back stock.
Looks SWEET!

Well the engine is out, now i will get started on freshening it up and the engine bay.

Out for clean, paint, oil change reseal and brake lines. Then new arms, bushings, shocks, springs and universals upon install.

Installed my fresh Pro+ trans & 3021 billet converter from Dave Husek last night and started brake fluid flush & bleed for my Wilwood 6 piston brake upgrade tonight . :D Sam

Drove it! Got fresh E85 this morning. And then I found that I only had it set on 18psi so I came home to crank it up for next time. It was fun but not OMG.

Oh...... It's a good day. Helped my mechanic change out the old and badly worn body bushings using the complete rubber kit from Kirban's. And he didn't even charge me extra for helping him!
I got an education as an added benefit.
Even though my car only has 31k miles on it, quite a few had fallen out. Driver's side only had two in place ... And they were in really bad shape. Whoodahthunkit. Needless to say, quite a noticeable difference in handling and less body squeaks. Next, the GNX brace.
