Update #2 .. 40lbs pull w/speedo video

Actually I'm surprised how slow the car is at the boost levels you claim.

slow as in ET or trap speed .. 124mph in the 1/4 and 99mph in the 1/8 . I could care less about ET . Mph will tell u everything . Last year it was on 30-36lbs at the track. This year we want to push it and so far we have. Stock heads cam intake dog house TB headers

This is one of my blocks that was taking 28lbs for awhile but as you can see the main webs didn’t really like it so they wanted to be a table instead of a running motor .

Wow. That is quite a lot of boost, I saw another TR owner posting on you tube pushing 50 psi and If i remember correctly, his motor did not last too long.
must say looks like a quick car, best of luck

As long as the rain holds out we will be at the track this Saturday .. fixing the header today. Might do a glory run at that boost level .. pic of the driver header that sounded like the engine let go in the video

Maybe I missed it but what is the combo? I can see this on a very low timing chip. I doubt its any kind of prank. I remember for years 25 psi was this magic wall we shouldn't push past on alky and 93 and now running 18-19* timing I run 28-29 pretty regularly.

nice! Whats your target A/f ratio?

Depends on how hot the IAT are. Usually we try and keep it under .80. But we push it to .82
This is my buddy's car I sold to him. I helped him put together a parts list and we did it at are shop.. he drives and I watch all the gauges to make sure the car won't blow. It's dialed in pretty good

Cool thread, some of us have been running big boost numbers for a long time.boost is just a number.125mph on a stock motor full weight is what mine ran and did it a long time before it gave up.owed me nothing and had a lot of fun

At some point adding boost will have minimal to zero gain. "87 GN, owned since new. Stock (unopened) engine, Janis roller trans w/ Perf. Trans. 9/11 torque converter. Limit Engineering TA-61, MJ 17 row, 55# inj, XP double pumps, Raptor MAF. Best 1/4 mile - 10.66 & 126.40. Best 1/8 mile - 6.80 & 102.42. Best 60' - 1.46 " Stangbangers sig
Personally I'd have a stroke seeing that much boost lol!
