At tonite's tech session at Nationals, someone mentioned twin scroll turbos. I did a quick search online and found a couple sites that talk a little about it, is this something that us as buick guys can benefit from?
Also is this technology on par with what ball bearing turbos were 5 years ago?
I believe Harry Hruska mentioned it being impractical because of the design of the crossover but that seems like an easy fix...
my other big question with this though would be how the turbine blades would be shaped, current turbines are "angled" ie larger near the center and taper off toward the exhaust port....so I would imagine a twin scroll turbine would have to have equal surface area for each scroll in order to work properly...
