turbo opinions and i.d help

I have a turbo I thought was a TA49 I sold a member here. i was told by a local GN guru it was a TA 49, and now we hear it isnt. Please review the pics here and let us know what it is, what it can do ,and what a reasonable value is. I was trying to hook someone up ona TA49 and I may have inadvertantly screwed him and me.

BTW, we had heard it was a "Stage II" ..where would that fall on this chart?!

That is probably a stage II Cheetah from Turbonetics.
You could probably call them and get more details.
I am sure most of them are at PRI.

Jack Cotton might be able to help you as well.

BTW- the TA49 is not magic, there is no reason to not run the
stage II as long as it is in good shape.

My thoughts exactly, it has the larger bell, it has the Garrett .82 hot side, it has the Garrett .63 cool side, and the wheels fit inside so they cant be so big or so small as to drastically effect the performance in either direction. It ran great on my car and I run low boost (12#ish).
The issue is someone told my buyer it was NOTHING like a TA49, which just does not seem accurate.

I haven't heard in a week or so. I wanna be as straight up as possible, and try to do the right thing. Heck, maybe he can sell to you if he wants to just turn it over....
