I traded for this turbo and was told it was a TA49. Can someone confirm this by pics and also point me in the direction of a rebuild kit. I wanna replace my stock turbo with this one.

It's a not a TA 49. The compressor looks like one from a stage 2. Not sure about the turbine. The compressor from a ta49 is the t04e60 and looks like this:

whatever it is, it looks pretty whipped. You should have it freshened. (Bison is a good choice, as well as PTE and others.)

Maybe these pics will help.....the center section spins freely. Didnt notice any broken fins on either side....hot side is AR 63. Other side is AR 60.

wow how long has that been sitting? mabe Gt3255A ?

well the numbers on the inlet bell is a GM part # 25525340 for '84 stock turbo. right above that number is the number 86 with lines going out from it in all directions. is it possible this is just a stock turbo ?

Measure the wheels since its apart and post up the dimensions.

ok. my only means of measuring is a tape measure.
i turned the wheels sideways on the table in front of tape measure
to get the most accurate measurements. then used an inches to mm app to convert.
for shorter blade measurements i moved wheels off edge of table so blades rested on table.

Compressor Wheel - Exducer - 2" 3/4 [69.85mm] -----Inducer - 2" 5/16 [58.7375mm]
Turbine Wheel - Exducer - 2" 3/16 [55.5625mm] -----Inducer - 2" 1/2 [63.5mm]

Hope this helps figure this out....
i can get more accurate measurements tomorrow at work.....

the tbo348 came with a .82 exhaust housing. but swapping them back to the stock .63 was fairly common.

Tb0348 is a stock LC2 turbo and came with a .63. Garrett stage 2 was .82. Same turbine. I'm not sure what that turbine is. Almost looks like a t31 but definitely not a stock turbine
