Car has been smoking so I immediately checked for head gasket issues. Followed some tips from other threads and removed the exhaust side to find lots and lots of oil... very "sludgy" oil. The turbine looks very clean and doesn't have any play in it. I'm guessing the seals but I'm not a turbo tech and am hoping it is something I can remedy with little cost. I believe I have a TE63 but am not sure. Any tips are greatly appreciated.

What did you find to be the problem? Was it smoking out the back?

Having the same issue. Fresh rebuild. Compression good. Had heads redone at local machine shop with new springs. Oil saturation on turbo into downpipe. Thinking either valve seals or turbo seal? Stock turbo. Any input would be great! Thanks
