If I'm reading this right, this means most aftermarket downpipes that bolt right to the turbo aren't allowed? or are you just saying that the turbine 4 bolt exhaust flange must bolt up like a stocker would (IE not a weird one like the old 3-bolt 88)?

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Why would Collin be posting the rules???
Shouldn't the RAR be doing it??

2. Why are these rule's not VOTED on by the RACERS that race these races??
I thought we lived in the USA and this WAS a Democracy not a DICTATORSHIP!!!!

3. It is VERY ODD that the rules changes I SEE are directed at Sean and Myself????

NO FIBERGLASS HOODS AND NO AFTER MARKET CONTROL ARMS!!!

WHEN THE ONLY THING EITHER OF THESE ITEMS DO IS, SAVE A LITTLE WEIGHT !!!

OR LIKE SEAN SAID TARGET PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHAT ARE WE IN SECOND GRADE, IT'S MY BALL AND WE DON'T WANT THE SOUTHERNS TO PLAY!!!!

IF NOT, WHO EVER THOUGHT OF THESE CHANGES, PLEASE GIVE US ALL ANOTHER EXPLANATION!!!! PLEASE!!!!!

JD

This is where someone comes on and tries to twist words and change the point of the subject to lead people away from the original and core point of this. I have seen it done a several times by certain individuals.

The point is that these were very direct targeted additions to the rules to knock SPECIFIC individuals current car out of the class.
Of course it will be played off like "what?, really?, we didn't know that., your car wasn't targeted," blah blah blah..... hard to deny any of it when there is a huge a-- picture of breaking the class record showing everyone and it just so happens that is what was changed....BS...

Nothing personal, but I called BS months ago about people having inside information (look the thread up) and they all denied it and yet here are the rules posted by one of the very people that commented in that thread....

I am sure they will not like me calling them down on this, but its the facts... read for yourselves.

It is what it is.... and it is a bunch of BS...

I had absolutely no inside info. These rules posted here tonight are the first time I've seen them. The fiberglass hood rule is a clarification of the last year's rules. That leaves the control arm one the only rule you two can be mad at then if I understand correctly unless you wanted them to repeal the fiber hood rule.

you didnt post the rules Kevin... so you can exclude yourself from the comment above.

As far as the rules......if they wanted my opinion in the making of the rules they would have asked me long before they came out... but it is hard to target a guys car and ask him his opinion.... it is so obvious that it is BS...

It isnt like they tried to "slow" the class down with the new rules....BUT certain car(s) were targeted to be now illegal which targets certain people....

Why can't the person(s) who DID make these changes SPEAK UP!!!!!

PLEASE!!!

1st off I posted the rules because I'm the one who since the beginning has done all the typing, posting, sending, ect. That's why I have been listed as the IT guy, it's my way of helping out, I had no prior knowledge of what changes were going to be made I found out approx. 24 hours before you guys so I could change them and post them.

As Kevin said the Fiberglass Hood rule was a clarification from last year, it was always illegal, but some disagreed with the way it was worded...Now it's spelled out clear.

Now I'm going to offer an opinion on the other rules, but that's all it is. When I was typing them up it was clear to me that the idea here was all about keeping this more of a street class, I mean I know you can drive around with a fuel pump hanging off your back bumper but even the people that don't know anything about cars will see it and say "Oooh look at the race car". **** my mom calls my car a race car.

I fixed it so it says the intention a little clearer.

BS! You are NOT discussing rules you are slinging mud, if want to start a fight do it in another thread this one is so people can read the rules and ask for clarifications if they don't understand what a rule says.

5. The turbine housing must be a 3-bolt housing that was commercially available on or before January 1st of 2010. The factory stock appearing turbine exhaust to downpipe connection must be used.

If I'm reading this right, this means most aftermarket downpipes that bolt right to the turbo aren't allowed? or are you just saying that the turbine 4 bolt exhaust flange must bolt up like a stocker would (IE not a weird one like the old 3-bolt 88)?

Aftermarket DP's that bolt to the turbo are fine as long as they use the 4 bolt configuration...In other words no V-bands and stuff like that.

Clarification: With exception of clarifying the hood (so you understand we are not dicussing the hood clarification in this particular sentence), why change the rules specifically to eliminate a specific car? (here comes the BS answer)

And so you know, there is no use saying that my car wasnt targeted because a couple of the other rule changes target only 1 (mine) or 2 other cars. Both more or less out of the same garage.

Cheers,

Sean

I have a old 67 turbo 3" in- 4" out with a PTE SL Intercooler so the turbo excludes my 4000lb LTD I guess??
