Thoughts on temp sensor

Recently noticed temp sensor is reading about 10+ degrees higher than actual. Confirmed with new

mechanical auto meter gauge and IR gun. This doesn't appear to be causing any problems , but I would like

to see a more accurate sensor. Maybe these sensors have always been this way . I do remember seeing a

chart with the resistance vs temp readout to test a sensor. I'll see if I can post it

GM Temperature Sensor Resistance Degrees F - Degrees C - Ohms
-40º / -40 / 100,700
0º / -18 / 25,000
20º / -7 / 13,500
40º / 4 / 7,500
70º / 21 / 3,400
100º / 38 / 1,800
160º / 71 / 450
210º / 99 / 185
