Ok. I just ordered the Borgonson from Jeggs. Use code SAVEMORE if you want to save 10%

Wow. Wish I had your skills. Great job. You will not regret getting Dave to do the engine. He might not be known for engine work, but I can tell you that mine is a monster. Best thing I've ever did to this car... and the most expensive, but you only live once. Mine took a while to get back from the machine shop too, but my patience paid off and I'm enjoying this car more than ever now. Next thing for you is to post in the Kill section. It's been pretty dead there lately. I hope to have a post in there soon but mine doesn't have the sleeper look like yours, so races are hard to come by these days. Must be the skinnies that scare everyone away.

I wish I had these skills. The car is being built by Long Island Muscle Car Garage, Dave Husek did motor and trans and Jim Dunn did bunch of work and is consulting for us.

Hey crowd.

So my WE4 went to its new home in Arizona. I lasted about 24 hours before I purchased another Turbo Buick.

I actually laid my eyes on it back in May, and negotiated (with the right information from fellow TurboBuick member) to the price I was happy with.

The car has (or rather doesn't have) everything I was looking for, except chrome mirrors.

Has original 213k miles :(, but seems like was pretty well taken care of. What's interesting is that from 1987 to 2013 it only had 2 owners, but 2013-2016 it had 3. I was able to speak with pretty much all of them.

So here's what I got:

Very nice! Dark Red Mettalic! My first TR was an 1987 same color, interior with column shift as well. lol Great looking car my friend!

I don't like black cars. Just like my Black TrailBlazer SS (which I just sold and already regretting) the deal was too good to pass. WE4 was original 54k mile car. TBSS was my best friends car that he bought new.

I always wanted a bench seat, manual windows low optioned Turbo T or T type. In any color, but Black. The only thing I hate more than Black cars is leather interiors. And of course Jim Dunn has a nice Limited now BUT it has leather.

That was the long answer to your question. The short one would be: I'm nuts!
I can relate! lol

Time for a little update.

So the engine was brought to Dave Husek for what I THOUGHT would be a "quick" heads and cam upgrade. But like everything else with this car, it's like an onion (not my words, but couldn't describe it any better)

Metal shavings in the oil pick up, silicone all over the engine (including inside), some "custom" work on oil pan :-(

And just dirt!

So needless to say doing the complete engine overhaul.
Wow. The man who "worked on that" is what I refer to as a man that should NOT own a tool!

Well, it's been awhile. Hopefully the wait is over and this project is moving along.

The motor been ready and is currently in Jim Dunn's hands where he is doing his magic dressing it up.

That is the way an engine should look when you get it ready to go back in!
