Tach pickup under dash?

Where is tach pickup under dash, i know where the pickup is by alt, but want tl wire it under dash

analog dash...find the connector to the tach boost module under the dash cluster .. white connector .. pin B white wire

Have digital dash

then you need to run a wire from under the hood

Just a reminder, the tach pic-up by the alternator is a 12v pulse signal and requires a free floating movement tach vs. a hall effect HEI style tach.
I'm sure you already know this and it was just me that had to find out the hard way trying several different types of tachs.

I ended up talking to Autometer direct back in '88 as no one had a clue, including myself. Lol
