hello peoples and Mass holes: I don't know about youz but this year I have not driven my 86T at all. I got it home out of it's winter nap, drove another day to get a sticker and that's about it. Right now it's been sitting in the sun and in all this heat. I have not driven my bike at all either. Usually it would not be this way but who knows what's with me.

You can't knock them up with spit.
There's plenty of summer cruise nights in MA to go to. I don't drive in the middle of the day but a nice evening cruise is ok once the mid day heat starts to go.

My compressor clutch just died after 4 years of sounding like rocks in a can when activated.
But the 50 degree a/c vent air was always nice for the 20 days a year I needed it. :p
Tonight I got caught in a huge thunderstorm and traffic jam on I-91 in North Haven, highway work setup.
Took me over a half hour to get the 1 mile to my exit.
85 degrees out windows closed and the hot air vents on.
Worst part is no real defroster so I guess I'll have to fix it, or re-live the 70's again.
Tomorrow will be astro-roof day 87 and sunny. o_O

hello people and hello Sal.V6. tell me is your astro R factory as mine is not. I don't use it because I'm afraid if the switch fails I'd be screwed. I know there's a manual crank thing if you have factory. Mine does not have that or maybe it has something like that. There's suppose to be a hole in the headliner for the crank from what I was told. Did you make the 300K mark yet? I almost made that mark in my old Astro van.

Yeah factory CF5 in both the WE4 and GN, no headliner right now so it's easy to crank, but the motor works just fine. WE4 is a parts car now although I haven't used any parts from it yet.
Major faucet/sink leak today luckily my brother was here from FLA, to make the Home Depot runs in an A/C car.
Hotter here than there. o_O
I don't really want to relive the no A/C 1970's on days like today.
New shutoffs installed because the 70 year old ones were solidified, fixed one of the sink drains I broke too, new faucet with removable hose installed and new soap dispenser thingy, guess I'll have to toss out my old plastic bottle from Ivory soap I have refilled with Palmolive dish liquid since the 80's, there's lotso Turbo Buick dirt on it. ;)
Stuck on 251K right now, I don't go anywhere now because I'm old and retired.

Time for the shop vac. and a can of wall sealer expandable foam, and put the under-sink 3/4 plywood back in to make the bottom of the cabinet floor for all my cleaning junk. The fun is over for now. ;)
I wonder if they make ball valves with the 3/8" compression tops on them?
I hate these screw packed valves that never work when you need them too, like today.

Thanks for the info. I'll blame my brother for those cheesy chinese valves, at least they should work for 5 years or so. The house was built by my father and Uncle in 1948. He didn't do the plumbing or electrical had some buddies for that, plumbing sucks, electrical is okay for old bx wire with cloth and crap insulation on the wires.
The less you touch the better off you are in old houses. :p
He got nice post war Fir for the framing so that's good, has aluminum over shakes over plywood over plaster.
All that needs to be removed and redone, by the next owner.... ;)

Ok, I do miss my crappy A/C in the GN.
I need an electric vehicle to properly combat this global warming crap.
