Stock Radio Amp IC?

I have a stock basic AM/FM with Cassette, no EQ. The right channel is out. Does anyone know if there’s a replacement chip available? Looking for the IC number. Or if someone has an amplifier board laying around, I could use it. Thanks, Rich

I can't imagine it's worth fixing.

Back in my car audio days, if a channel died, or accidentally got 12V shot to it so a customer could save money... It went straight into the trash can.

Even after all these years, I can't imagine a plain cassette deck is worth fixing. (still might be worth saving just in case it's worth something 30 years from now)

If I can’t find the chip, then ur right. It’s in nice shape and the cassette deck works. Takes less than 30 min to replace the IC, if I can find a new one.

Vinyl has been making a comeback so maybe the DAT will too. MAYBE.

In that case, when GNs become a hipster thing, cassette decks might be worth fixing.


(and I still have all my parents old 70's vinyl, and a crate of DJ stuff from when I owned a nightclub)
