Does anyone know of a place to send my wheel to make it look like new again. I had mine redone and I don’t think it looks very good. I was told this was show quality. The thread is multiple different colors too. Am I being picky?

My eBay rework seems to have a little more puffiness ( thickness ) to it where yours looks as if they just tightened the strings a little more. Mine was originally brown and in 100% mint condition, just brown.

Do you have a pic of your eBay one? Judging by the responses I’ve gotten, I guess I should ask for a refund.

I would try these people I’ve been watching their work for a while and they look to have good attention to detail. They’ve also have reupholstered a few g body’s on their ig account.

I’ve never tried them myself but if I did redo my steering wheel I would go here or send them my wheel.

I had mine done by Dallas Custom Steering Wheels. It was $500, but it came back perfect. This was a suede recover of a trashed junkyard wheel. It's held up for four years now, too.

wow, every stitch is perfect. I'm trying to get my money back. I recovered my steering wheel in my dodge ram myself and it came out way better than what I paid big money for. It cost me $20 for the leather and $100 for the sewing machine.

I was going to attempt recovering it myself, but I thought I'd leave it to the pros. I guess I'll do it myself after all. Here are some pics of the wheel I did for my truck. I don't think a GN wheel would be too hard, I unlaced the old cover and made a precise copy of the pieces and hole pattern, and also had to find a piece of leather the exact same thickness. I used a leather chisel to punch holes. The pattern is a simple baseball stitch. I'm not sure what the pros do for the padding between the core and leather. I used double sided foam tape that was a pain to install.
