Seat Back Latch

This is something that's kind of irritated me for a while. I tried a search on the topic but got nowhere. When I want to tip the back of either of my bucket seats forward, I don't need to use the lever. They just tip with no resistance. Is this something I should be worried about as in a safety issue? Or am I being an old lady ? If I should repair them, how? Thanks in advance for any and all information submitted.

Mine do that also. I think its normal.

Normal, if your seat belts work correctly and you wear them, they should lock in place and hold you
