Working on a project car. New scanmaster, powerlogger and PLX wideband. All wired correctly and scanmaster is not showing any wideband reading which should be the default display. Yes, scanmaster has 2.2 chip update. Running Turbo Tweak 6.1 alky chip for PLX wideband. MAF signal wire to #2 I/O terminal, scanmaster wire to #7 on I/O and wire from analog terminal on PLX to the correct terminal on I/O terminal. I did not run a ground from the analog plug as many have said not to. Any clues? Scanmaster is powered off the same ignition power wire so I know I have power and yes wideband is plugged in. ALL NEW Parts.

When I turn on key (not running) Scanmaster displays 2.2 and the PL 4.4 The setup in this car is identical to the one on my own GN so I wouldn't think I would need to update anything. The scanmaster options are all checked. HELP!

Go to PL F3 screen and in the lower left is Scanmaster options. Click it an turn on wide band selection, and any other you want display except EGT.

Sorry, I just noticed you had Scanmaster options selected.

What wide band do you have selected on the right side of the F3 screen?

PLX selected of course! I do get the indicator light on the power logger board itself too. I should be seeing wideband readings as the default on the scanmaster and should also see boost in the display when you toggle thru the readings but nothing shows. Powerlogger was new out of the box so is there something I need to do to program it first? Couldn't get laptop to connect to serial port but even if the laptop isn't connected I would think it should still display the wideband and boost readings or am I missing something. All connections were soldered.

I believe I had this issue with a PL and my first 6.0 TT chip when the were new about 3 years ago. I had to update the PL software and all worked fine since. I believe I got the update off the TT site.

well, you checked the options on the screen of the laptop, but if the laptop can't connect to the PL, how's the PL going to know what you want....

annyway..... if this is a new PL, the drivers should be built into windows, but you will have to let it install them, then check the auto box next to the port number on the F3 page and see if it will then connect.

Will try tonite, I am running Windows XP on the laptop, should that matter? Like I said, I already had Powerlogger installed on this laptop so figured I was all set. Give me a laymans step by step on what I should do for this setup of the new powerlogger if you could Bob.

Bob is correct, it was the USB drivers that were not located properly on my XP laptop that caused this problem.
Here is the info on the TT forum, the manual for the PL on top should help explain the fix.
Powerlogger manual:

Powerlogger install guide:

How to install the Scanmaster update chip:

Here is the complete download. It is all the same files that would have been on the install CD, and includes the files above.
This is the latest version 2.5.2. You will have to unzip it, and the powerlogger folder is inside.

If you already have Powerlogger working and you just want to update to 2.5.2, then download this file. Unzip it and you will see a file called "plc.exe". You will just overwrite your old plc.exe with this new one, in your powerlogger folder. When you run PLC the first time, it will create a new flash file PL044 to flash the PL with.
