Rikens Mesh Wheel ID

I have an opportunity to pick up a pair of what I think are Riken mesh wheels. I need some help identifying and figuring out the width because I don't trust the guy measuring them and they are 80 miles away. He thinks they are 9 or 9.25 wide but I can't see any casting numbers that indicate a width.

I've had wheels with a JJ17x8 on the backside of a spoke. See if he'll send a photo of the backside of the mesh. Hopefully the numbers will be there.

That sure looks like a 15x 8 in. wide wheel to me. What else does the backside have on it?

What size tire is on it?
Sometimes you can sight down the side wall of the tire and compare section width (235, 245, 255 or whatever) to wheel width and get in the ballpark as well.

Remember, the overall width of a wheel is approximately an inch wider than the advertised wheel size. The advertised wheel width is measured on the inside of the lip where the tire bead contacts the wheel.
The backspacing, however, is measured from the backside of the wheel mounting hub to the inside edge of the wheel. I'm sure you knew this already, but for those that didn't.

If the seller measured the overall width at 9 in. the advertised wheel width would be 8 in. as indicated on the backside of the mesh.

I hope this makes a little sense.

Cheers,
George

He sent these two picture and the lace part is almost an inch so that would seem like 9 inch overall so 8 wide would seem right. There was a weight limit casted in it and that was all on the backside.
