Right stall for me?

Building a 4.1 .020 over, stg2 ported heads (1.77/1.5 valves), 208/224 cam, with probably a ta60 or ta62. I know the 4.1 allows for less stall with the bigger cubes but how does a 3200-3400 stall sound? That is what I am leaning towards in a PI 9.5"

Making decision real soon (like today:rolleyes: ) so please help me out asap.

Thanks!

3200 should be plenty. You could go to 3400ish and use a .82 AR housing on the turbo.

Thanks for the reply Jay. After some more thought I think I have narrowed my turbo choice to either a gt6152 (if I go with TE style) or a TA63. The convertor Im looking at is actually a 6pump so rated at 3400.

Unless you have a reason to run a TA style turbo, I'd avoid them. You lose about 8% efficiency through a TA housing, at least so I've been told. If you decide on a TE63, I'd definitely recommend the 3400 stall.

Are you putting the stage2 heads on a stage 2 4.1 or a production 4.1? and if you are, arent the valves alot bigger than you mentioned?

Im sorry. Its a production 4.1 ('84 290 casting). The heads are from Precision Motorsports of Florida pm-fl.com and are their stg 2 heads. Bought these from Bob Morreale aka "BM Computer Src" who works with them and is also a longtime boardmember here.
