Retired from US Air Force yesterday

After 25 years, 3 months, and 27 days, I took off my uniform and hung it up for the last time yesterday. It was both a happy and sad day for me at the same time.

I'm going to kick back and relax for a month or three and then look to start a second career.

Keep your uniforms handy! If the AF is anything like the Navy, we were considered in the fleet reserve until year 30. Course, getting recalled are about a 1,000,000 to one

Congrats. Little advice.... I have been out for (8) months and can't wait to go back to work and I have been getting full pay the entire time. Bordon sets in reaL FAST. HAVE A PLAN FOR SURE.

Thanks all. I am hoping to be settled down somewhere (besides Albuquerque) and working by mid-August. I have a ten year old so I want to get him in school and not have to move during the school year.

Thanks. It was a fun adventure. Five assignments in the states and four in Europe, plus I got to visit a lot of places I wanted to, and even a few I didn't.
