Resurfacing oil filter adapter ?

What all grits of sandpaper do you guys use when resurfacing the oil filter adapter ?

Don’t sand on it by hand you have to drag it on paper that’s stuck to something super flat or it’s going to leak

I have a old mirror I’m going to use just need to know what grits of sandpaper to use.

you can also go a step further and use lapping compound say 600 grit ..and use a piece of flat glass ....going in figure 8's
