What type of ride quality could i expect out of the non adjustable qa1 pro coilover system ? This would be going on a street driven car.
I have Spohn tubular upper and lowers. I can make it corner like a sports car or run 10's at the track. I wouldn't go back to the stock set upAre you running stock front control arms, and what would you say the range of adjustability is ? Can you go from a soft stock ride to more aggressive than Bilstines ?
Thanks
I usually set mine at 9 of 18 for the street. Seems about right.
What weight front springs are you guys using with the coilovers ?
550 seems high for a v6 g body
I believe the standard Regal front springs are like 355 lbs./ in. or something and the touring package (GN/ TR) springs are 422 lbs./ in. I had ATR performance springs (judging from the wire size I'm guessing 525 lbs./ in.) and thought they were a little floaty even with Bilstien shocks so I went with UMI performance springs rated at 600 lbs./ in.
I'm more of a canyon carver/ road race type of guy so I'm looking forward to getting the car all together and on the road so I can check them out.
If your shocks adjust more firm than Bilstiens you may be ok with 425- 500 lb. springs if you plan on drag racing some, but I would not be afraid of a spring in the 500- 600 lb. range for the street, obviously.
I like a well controlled ride for the street.
