Driveshaft install

I purchased a used Powerlogger from a reputable member of the board, purchase a new TT chip from Eric including the 2.2 Scanmaster chip.

I finally got it installed, when I put the key in accessory there's a long green flash from the PL and when I turn the key off there is a short green flash.
  • PL doesn't show any data on the laptop
  • The computer does detect a USB device is connected and attempts to install drivers
  • The Scanmaster will start up but throws gibberish and then the screen goes black (video attached)
I did some searching here and on the TT forums but can't put my finger on what could be the issue. Am I missing something obvious? Thanks in advance!

did you run the scanmaster input white wire to the powerlogger aux block scm terminal ?

in the PLC program goto F3 config> scanmaster options , and make sure " scanmaster G" isnt checked

That’s not an option.

No. Neither PL not Scanmaster reads anything.

I’m checking to see if it’s a driver issue. It’s a Windows 10 machine. Just disabled Digital Driver enforcement after some googling. Hopefully this does it!

if your data is not good on pc recheck the cleanliness of the connection pads where the pl slides onto to the ecm

Hmm. It shows a driver but it doesn’t appear to be the correct one and when I attempt to install the proper driver it tells me the best possible driver is already installed.

I'm trying that now. I feel like there may be something to it (hopefully).

The connection is extremely clean on the "top" side of the ECM but I do still feel a little bit of the "rubbery" coating on the bottom.

both sides of the ecm board edge connector need to be absolutely clean
you need to remove the the ecm boards from the case and seperate the boards and clean all contacts of the rubbery coating
goof off is suggested in the instructions but i use thinner and a razor blade

So I pulled it apart and cleaned up the contacts a third time with the same result. At this point I think I can eliminate that as an issue.

The driver that auto installs isn’t showing up as a PL either. Photo attached.
