Polished SLIC scoop

I had to get a radiator leak fixed so while it was out I decided to clean up and polish my Precision SLIC scoop. I think it turned out pretty good for a rookie.

I still have the plastic one; they don't polish up so good...:confused:

Probably about 2 hours or so. Its far from perfect but it is way better than it was. I plan on doing it again over the winter.
 
My Precision scoop was sheet metal, not aluminum.

What did you use?


Scrubbed it with a Scotch Brite pad and soapy water. Followed by Meguiar's new Medium Cut Metal Polish (I wanted t use the Heavy cut but couldn't find it locally) using the powercone. Finished with Mothers Aluminum Polish.
When I do it again, I'll be sanding it with 600 grit, Meguiar's Heavy cut, then Mothers.
