REGISTRATION FOR PINKS ALL OUT WILL BE FIVE-DAY WINDOW; RACERS WILL BE CHOSEN BY RANDOM DRAWING

JOLIET, Ill. – Racers who wish to register for PINKS All Out at Route 66 Raceway® June 25-26 can breathe a little easier today.

Instead of having just minutes to register on a first-come/first-served basis, racers will have five days to submit their information. Once that five-day window is over, a random drawing will determine which of those registrants will be one of the 425 racers to make the 500-racer field for this episode of the television show PINKS All Out, to premiere on SPEED later this year.

Racers who wish to participate in the drawing must register between 8:30 a.m. CDST on Monday, March 15, 2010 and 5 p.m. CDST on Friday, March 19, 2010. Entries for this drawing will not be accepted before or after that time. Racers may register one of three ways: Online at Chicagoland Speedway/Route 66 Raceway (where a link will be posted for registration from 8:30 a.m. CDST on March 15, 2010 until 5 p.m. CDST on March 19, 2010), by drop-off between the hours of 8:30 a.m. CDST to 5 p.m. CDST at the Route 66 Raceway office (Gate 12, 500 Speedway Boulevard, Joliet, Ill. 60433), or in person at the Route 66 Raceway office.

Registration information must be submitted on the official Route 66 Raceway PINKS All Out registration form that may be filled out and sent online through the link provided on Chicagoland Speedway/Route 66 Raceway on March 15, 2010 or printed, completed and delivered to the Route 66 Raceway office by 5 p.m. CDST on March 19. (This address may also be used when getting directions from websites: 3200 S. Chicago St., Joliet, Ill 60433.) Racers may receive and complete an official registration form at the Route 66 Raceway office during the previously listed time frame. If a racer chooses to register at the office, he or she must come to the office in-person to register. No early or mail entries will be accepted. Complete rules, regulations and additional information for the Route 66 Raceway PINKS All Out registration drawing will be posted at Chicagoland Speedway/Route 66 Raceway. One entry per racer will be included in the drawing, which is open to legal residents of the United States age 18 or older with a valid driver’s license.

Racers will find out on March 30 if they were chosen in the drawing or not through the e-mail address each provides when registering. A list of the racers who were chosen will also be posted on Chicagoland Speedway/Route 66 Raceway on March 30. Racers who are selected must complete the registration process (including paying registration fees) by 5 p.m. CDST on Friday, April 9, 2010, or an alternate will be selected by random drawing from all remaining eligible entries.

Racers who are not chosen through the drawing may attempt to make the field during a qualifying race on May 16. That will determine the remaining 75 racers who will make the 500-car field for the June 26 event. This will include the Quick 8.

A hotline has been set up specifically for this event. Please call 1-877-691-7223 (RACE) for more information about PINKS All Out at Route 66 Raceway.

Route 66 is an NHRA-affiliated track. All racing and technical inspections will be implemented under NHRA rules and regulations, which can be found in the official NHRA Rulebook. We would like to remind you that PINKS All Out is a television show first – not a drag racing contest.

Route 66 Raceway is the first True Stadium of drag racing. Founded in 1998 by nine local entrepreneurs, the NHRA-affiliated, quarter-mile drag strip is now fully owned and operated by the International Speedway Corporation and is sister track to Chicagoland Speedway®, a 1.5-mile, D-shaped tri-oval that annually plays host to the NASCAR® Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR® Nationwide Series and NASCAR® Camping World Truck Series, IZOD IndyCar® Series, Firestone Indy Lights® and ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX® and Menards® events. Route 66 Raceway annually hosts weekend Rockett Brand Race Fuel ET Bracket Series presented by Gas City racing, NHRA Jr. Drag Racing, NHRA Lucas Oil Series and NHRA Full Throttle Series professional drag racing events. The Route 66 Raceway property also includes a half-mile dirt oval track.
