It does. In the soft plastic part. The harder plastic is crack free though.

What's the story on the short block (high miles, engine knock, oil burner, hole in piston, etc)?

Short block came with a car I bought. Don't know history on it. Just know the oil was a milkshake when I opened it up . I also have removed the pistons, rods and mains, but they come with. Crank is still in it. Bearings looked good as does crank and pistons so I don't think it was pulled due to lower issues, my guess is head gasket.
