Back in 04 I had emergency surgery for perforated colon at age 27. Long story short my guts ended up looking like Nasty Wendy's S-hose pic.
Walking and tooting was tough and painful at first but slowly got the hang of it
Hope you have a fast recovery!

Walking was never my strong suit... The other, I'm a "MASTER TOOTER"!!
I can clear an elevator w/ the best of them!
Doc says 2-4 weeks of "reasonable" exercize, easy on the pulled pork, and things should be back to normal...Whatever normal is.

It's now "D DAY! I'm off to the hospital, and at least a week of pain and misery. Kinda reminds me of the last time I was married!

chuck, having just gone thru this last week,
I wish you the best, its slow recovery at our age,
nothing I can say will help you, but the few days after surgery SUCK!
feel like you've been beat up! INSIDE,
like you, they had to do there best to make me uncomfortable, or so it seemed.
I hope you have a great and speedy recovery,
worst part of all this (surgery) Dr said no driving,
so I had to ride with the wife! never thought I'd live thru it!!!!!!

Ya well be careful with that and get checked out after they fix you my dad had the same issue got fixed up and didn't go back in for follow ups 4 years ago .. He passed away from cancer last year at 58 years old...

Praying all is well Chuck. I had a resection about a year and a half it was tough right after the surgery but it gets better just relax and enjoy your time off. I pray for a speedy recover.

Just literally got off the phone with Chuck. He's still in one piece but had some complications and will be in a little longer than first expected. He's in good spirits and surrounded by nurses he describes as "Foxes" and is being well taken care of.
