oil prime question.

have an engine that's been sitting a few years what do you guys use to prime the engine? Plan on starting it this weekend.

ok ill look into it. I take it its just a long rod that goes into the oil pump drive?

Correct. You leave a deposit and they give you all your money back.

Then you'll need to reset the cam sensor.

And NO, you do not need and special tools to set it!

As for the cam sensor, rotate the engine to align the cam sensor prior to pulling it. You can line it all up using EVIL's method, it works. I'll let him show/describe how it is done.

Then when it's time to drop it back in, it is a piece of cake as the engine is in the correct position. Just need to re-align the oil pump drive shaft to the cam sensor shaft slot and drop it in.
