Lead foot and a slow car

well i went to chris's shop today and we put my car on the lift... we solved my oil pan leak.. it was a pinched gasket that was leaking in the rear. and we pulled off my rear drum to find that my rear brake was fine.. the adjustment was just too tight. and we fixed that. then we moved on to the rims. OH MY GOD. the car looked beatiful on the lift with the tires... come to find that there 11inch wide.. we get em on fine and put it on the ground and hear a squeeking noise for the back end. didnt think nuthin of it till i put the car in gear and it went nowear.. the tires were up against the frame. they cleared the fender with like 1-1/2 - 2 inchs to go. we thought about backspaceing. but then thought about leaning and that. so im goin to get a 60 series tire thats 9 inch's wide and those are 74 a pop. NEW! so that is 140 for the rims then.lol all well. it looked bad w/ 11inchs a rubber under each side though.
