Anyone running anything bigger in the rear on a 16" wheel? She's got some room.

I know it isn't everyone's taste but man I love the gold on her.

I remember in the late 80's there were a few GN's at the Nationals with gold mesh wheels. I thought they looked pretty sweet, and when I ordered my HRE wheels I was very close to getting the gold, but in the end opted for the black.
The blue and gold does look good together.

At the cruise-ins on 20" Boyd's billet wheels .......

My New Setup...

Front 15x8 gbody aluminum rims, 4" backspace, wearing Hankook VH101 265/50R15.
Rear 15x10 gbody aluminum rims, 4 1/2" backspace, wearing MT ET Street SS 295/55R15.

Tested on the street.

Fronts clear fine. Just barely kiss the lower inside rear side fender liner on full inward lock. Not an issue to me as I'm never at full lock.

Rears: Plenty of clearance on this inside. Driver side rear rubs ever so slightly on the fender lip on the underside center only on very hard dips because I've measured that the driver rear sits 1/4" lower than the passenger side rear of my car. Will address this week with a fender lip roll.

Suspension and bracing is all newer Bilsteins, Kirban Springs, HR Sway and HR Arms, GNX Brace and more bracing to come.

Overall, I am very happy. Looks wide and mean to me. I may add a spacer to the front to kick the front tires outward even more. I also have a complete set of ready-to-bolt-on GNX fender flares but if I add them and still want to keep the wide stance, I'll need 1" wheel adapters on all 4 corners to keep the wide and filled-out look. I'm doubting I will use the GNX flares.

Enjoy the pix. Embarrassed but the car has not been washed or detailed yet for the Spring.

Looks pretty detailed from here! Seriously the wheels look great on there, nice ride.

Simmons wheels. I can't remember the width or back spacing, I have had them for years. I will measure them in the next couple of weeks. It has SPC uppers and lowers. AFX spindles. C6 brakes, the 14" wouldn't clear the 18" Simmons. Eibac springs front and rear. Hellwig sway bars. The rear is next!

Your windows match your paint! I wish that I could tint mine that dark. Wheels look great, stance looks great.

Thanks, it took a couple of times with the spacers to get the front end where I wanted it. We usually don't get hassled with windows much. Headlights are on the list. lol

Had an opportunity to take some decent shots of my GN with 20" Boyd Coddington billet wheels and recently installed Corvette 14" front brake rotors.
