OEM 4.1 heads

I picked up a 4.1 block to build, and was wondering if the heads would be good to use also? I don't have them here to look at the casting #'s yet. Are they the same or close to 8445's? For some reason I could not get any info to come up on them in a search. Thanks

I have a 4.1 and the stock heads are not as good as the 8445's!

I ended up using heads from my other 86 turbo motor

I would not throw them out though...

Well the set we have seem to be identical except the ports are cast larger. What is the difference as far as you could tell?

I don't have a good answer here. Sorry. Bigger ports sound like a good thing?

There is neglible differences from a performance standpoint. The quality of the valve job will determine the flow on otherwise untouched castings and not much else. They all flow like crap.
