That motor has so much potential. Direct injection has it's benefit but it seems it comes with draw backs also. Did it mention how much boost it was making?

Yes sir.. going through freshening for the event next month.

The only drawback to direct injection is getting fuel into the motor and intake valve cleaning. They can get gummed up pretty quick if they run a PCV.. the new C7 is another example.. they love meth with boost..

The issue with build up on the intake valves. Does the methanol at least help with that?
