Hello everyone. Wanted to drop in and introduce myself. Wow that even sounds Newbish, lol. I'm new to the GN life but not to G-Bodys. I've owned over 60. I wish someone would of told me it means nothing while dealing with these unicorns. I just purchased a 86 W2 GN that had been sitting for over 12 years. The inside is perfect and un-molested. The exterior is a solid 7.
New toys I'm in the process of installing: TT chip with #60 injectors, Innovate LC-2 w DB gauge, Power Logger, G-Scan, Hallman BC, Autometer boost gauge. Scored a THDP. Of course I did a full clean/tuneup on the engine. Had to replace the radiator right off the bat.
I have worked in the auto industry for 25 years. I am a L1 Master tech. Even though these cars seem to have a mind of their own I think I will be able to bring good things to the table. My shop specialises in advance diagnostics. So I'll stick with what I know. I was shocked to see there was very light information here on scope diagnosis wether it be on Hall effect, VRS, or even Waste spark systems. It's pretty cool to actually see voltages and how they move when you change parts out for others. Thats what I hope to bring. Lord knows I already owe a lot for the ton of information I have gotten from this forum family.
Anyways, Thanks for having me. Thank the Lord for allowing me life.

Hey Radcliff KY , Welcome to the site . Its a lot great info here so feel free to ask all you want . I spent a lot of time in Radcliff , I had a aunt and uncle there so we visited a lot and I also spent a fun 4 months at Fort Knox for basic and ait . Anyway Welcome . Keith

Hey Keith, Ahh the great city of Radcliff...Right, lol. As my wife and I call it "Da-Cliff" Yeah tons of info here. Pretty excited about it all and I never thought I could get excited about cars in general again. Really looking forward to the Nationals. Need some headers and just general ideas of what crazy things everyone does to their Gn's. BTW my name is Andy. Have a shop in E-town, A&M Automotive Solutions. Stop in some time if you have yours out and about.

Andy,
Welcome to the site. Grab a beer and make yourself at home. Lots of good info and great people here. Most are still open minded about other ways of skinning the proverbial cat. Please post a picture of your new found lust. So, out of all the G bodies that you've owned, what's been your favorite and why?
I'm sure we can compare notes on the quirks and what should have been done differently from the factory.

Once again,
Welcome to the site and happy spooling. :)

Well thank you for the greetings. Is the "Spool Fool"? I actually installed a set of your fine products this past weekend. The Boost Crew from Louisville, KY had nothing but great things to say about you not only as a business owner, but as a man. Very stand up. Was just a touch disappointed that mine were not hand signed, lol. They fit good with very little work, and they look amazing!
Ahh G-Bodies.. Ive started with them way before they were "Cool" so its hard to say which was my favorite. But I would say that one of my most memorable was a custom ordered 80 4 speed Malibu that had the factory 4-speed rock crusher, 350ci, black on black w bucket seats. That was just a cool car.
Here is my new obsession. The first pic is exactly how I got her. Keep in mind that she had just been on a rollback for about 10 miles, so yeah there was actually more dust, lol. 2nd pic is just after a good washing. There will be a hole lot more to come.
I can't say enough good things about the experience so far. As I stated earlier after doing this for decades and owning/operating/working a 7200sq' shop I pretty much got to where I just looked at all vehicles as problems. Betty "Thats her name" has just got me thinking differently. The problems as of now with her are labors of love. See ya at the Nationals!!

Wow!
That cleaned up nice. Wagons are so bitchen IMHO. Especially sleepers.
So, how's that sled running? If you don't get scared every time you mash the go pedal, something's wrong, And we can fix that here.:D
Hope to see you next week at the Nats. Fingers crossed for no rain.
