OK, so this is where we're at so far...

The DDI concept originated around the idea of ditching the old laptop & using a tablet to display the gauges from PowerLogger in the dash of your Turbo Buick. However, you could really put it anywhere you'd like, for example on a pedestal mount above the AC & radio, in place of the existing radio, or even on the sunvisor.

We chose a tablet that would fit in the dash with no cutting required. Bob resized the PL software to fit our display screen. We then figured out a way to both charge and simultaneously accept the USB input to the tablet from the PL, and we were up & running.

I am still working to find a decent power supply that can be hardwired to a 12V ignition source and an appropriate USB cable with 90 degree ends to go from the PL to our charging/data port for this application.

Thus far the kit includes the tablet, charging/ data port, a portable power supply, and necessary cables.
