New best 1/8 mile 6.65

Only run car once or twice a year . Made 2 passes first was a 6.71 at 103 with a 1.55 sixty normally go 1.49. Second pass on the 2 step at 2800 was a 6.65 at 99.92 with 1.45 sixty got squirrelly middle track heading for center line didn’t shift to third killed mph. Hit rev limiter set at 6200. I think it had a 6.58 or 59 in it. Combo , 249 stoker, home ported irons, comp hr 212 206, 60 lb injectors, gen2 and extreme g chip, 450 pump, alky injection, 6776 bb turbo, 24 to 25 boost, timing1and 2 21 3 and 4 18 degree, homebuilt 2004r ptc nl converter.

A little more about combo. 3740 car and driver, hydro boost brakes, 2 step button on brake pedal, bilstein shocks, boxed upper and lower control arms, Umi drag bar, 18 blade ptc converter, 255/60/15 mt r tires at 20 pounds.

Went to track again. Made 2 passes 1.42 sixty 6.63 at 103 let transmission shift its self shifts way to sone 4700 rpm dogs it down. Governor is cut down as much as I dair low rpm shifts started with ptc converter install. Going to play with 1-2 and 2-3 shift valve springs.

5600 to 5800 RPM would probably be a good shift point for that small camshaft- anything higher than that would be out of the HP/TQ power curve.
Also you are probably leaving a little bit of efficiency out back on the table with that looser (18 blade) TQ but the looser TQ will definitely sixty ft / 330 better at lower RPM/ Boost launches which factors more toward ET than any given point on the track. A 1.45 to 1.48 sixty is really good for 2800- 3000 Rpm launch at 3700 plus lbs weight- factory ECM/ chip car.

You will beat most street cars in the 1/8 mile with that consistent (1.45- 1.48 ) sixty ft. Just keep a close eye on the AFR and ALKY pump pressure within your data logs. Impressive set-up and good job.
