I need a new laptop pretty quickly and I will be replacing my current HP 17" version with another HP 17".
I see that the ones listed use Windows 7, 64bit for an OS.

Will the 64 bit be compatable with my computer programs like Photoshop CS2 and my printer and ?? or do I need to get one with 32bit? I'm currently using Vista Home Premium.

64 bit Operating Systems are backwards compatible (the corollary is 64 bit applications can only be run on 64 bit OSes). For some applications though you may need to run in a compatibility mode (mostly games). Nothing to worry about.

And.. The 64 OS will allow you to use more than 4gb of ram. If you are looking at one now, make sure it comes with the upgrade to Windows 8 when it comes out. 8 hits consumer devices this fall, so most manufactures have free or low cost upgrade entitlement.
