My Hot Air at the track again .... new best 11.87 sec

Thats awesome! So when running E-85, hot airs should also run meth to try to cool the air a bit sooner?

I would not say should.... This is something I am trying. Heat and pressure will cause a fuel/ air mixture to self ignite prior to a spark event..Less heat ( intercooler ) means more control over ignition of fuel
If fuel ignites to soon there is " knock ". Cylinder pressure should reach a peak at about 16 to 20 degrees ATDC . Sooner will cause stress over tolerances Later will reduce torque/ power .

I am applying ideas based on what I have learned about engine operation

Bob great progress with the car. Where did you get the digital dash and the intake temp sensor?
Thanks.... The instrument cluster is a Dakota Digital. The temp sensor is a solid plug that fits the threaded egr port at back if intake. Drilled and tapped To accept a auto parts store replacement for the 87 IAT sensor
