my 80 regal limited

Looks like it's coming together nicely. Did you match the ports on the intake to the heads?

the ports actually were very close right outa the box i stick a borescope down some of the ports to check but couldent see any big difference id be worried id bust into the pushrod bores if i went too nuts porting also with the low power goal of 350-400 hp i dont think it would be a huge point in porting but i had atleast a 3 angle valve job and downcut valves

also thank you

Nice progress, this is a much involved build but ithe is looking good.

less involved then other builds im lucky to not have to deal with fuel injection and the wires that goes with that and extra costs even though i have some higly overkill parts for the low power goal like the aluminum heads and TA S/S headers

hat painted

most recent things that have been done to my project

i got the frame mounted ina rotisserie so it will be easier to work on and the boost tube mockup so far might only be used for dyno purpose i am considering adding a stock GN intercooler i made my own distributor hold down with a hemisphere for sins the disc would be at ann able

also image of a test fitting of 301mm camaro 1LE rotors on B.body spindles the crappy disc will be replaced by stop tech cryo treated discs so

and the turbo oil feed and pressure gauge block is made from a oil pressure sensor extention for a ford 302 thats been reduced in length

small batch or parts for the engine LS chevy dipstick as i was told those would work tube for starting the downpipe and connect the wastegate to the downpipe -4 AN fitting for the turbo oilfeed some stainless steel bellows some weld on bungs and a tiny rodend for the turbo support

a small piece of engine progress lately started builing the downpipe but it will stop short and the rest will be buildt with mild steel for dyno purposes and when the engine is in the frame and body on the frame the rest of the downpipe will be buildt in 304 stainless made a turbo support that my thought process is that the twist will allow some flex from theat expansion but still carry the weight but and not put any untoward stress on the headers themselves

plan is no intercooler but run water/methanol injection

downpipe mostly finished its enough for dyno purposes ill do the rest in regular mild steel that will be clamped on with U bolts so it points at the dyno cell exhaust extractor dumpvalve welded in place on charge pipe also now just waiting on water/methanol kit so i cna weld the bung in the chargepipe for the nozzel some AN fittings for the watercooling of the wastegate a few detalis basically and gonna see about gettin the 29 lbs flywheel lightened a few pounds
