Mitsubishi 3000gt VR4 Value ?

#1
I know its a tough question unseen, but does anyone know a good starting point value for a sale of a 1995 Mitsubishi 3000gt VR4 w/ 80K miles.
It is originally a California car that has been in New York since 2010 and stored winters here. I had inherited this car from my Uncle and my dad has been driving it summers and is ready to move on. I don't have room for 2 hot rods and am not getting rid of my GN.

Its fully loaded, mint interior, runs perfect, perfect body with some paint fade and he has a full set of service manuals with it.
Need to come up with a number for it...tia.

Realistically, probably about half of that if you're lucky. Talk about our cars being a niche car. The 3 SI's were awesome cars and have a good cult following but not a lot of collector following that I've seen. I've seen a few very low mileage ones with asking prices in that range but I don't know if people are getting that for them. A lot of these cars start having mechanical issues when the mileage gets around 100k and they are complicated cars that are a pain to wrench on.

Here's one local posting,

As far as value goes, most people fear getting into something that's as complicated as those cars were. But there is a definite cult following for them. I would say somewhere in the $8,500 - $10,500 range realistically for a good running example, as they really didn't hold their value.

This shop was one that I dealt with when I was at PTE. They specialize in the VR-4's and Stealth's. Might try reaching out to them. Great bunch of guys to work with.

There was one on here a year or 2 ago that was in really nice shape. Think it was 10k. Search for the ad.
