Bingo. The same can be said in a case where a DA/SA gun is used (either revolver or semi-auto) where you can cock the hammer making it single action at that point. In a self defense case, this would be looked at as a "hair trigger" if someone cocked the hammer putting it in SA and this is why most guns designed for CC use are DAO without an exposed hammer to cock to avoid this legal BS.
